CEA won two awards for its marketing campaigns and educational outreach initiatives in the annual Insurance Marketing & Communications Association (IMCA) awards.
CEA won Best of Show for its 2015 “Wango Tango Initiative” entry in the Experiential Marketing category and also won the coveted SAMMY Award—given to the entry voted to be the best overall work among all of the IMCA winners on display at the Annual Conference.
Past SAMMY Award recipients include some of CEA’s participating insurance companies, including Liberty Mutual, State Farm, Farmers, Allstate and Nationwide. To be eligible for this award, companies are given a blank space on a table to be filled with whatever they choose. CEA produced a model of the display it had at KIIS-FM’s Wango Tango concert event in Los Angeles in May. The model included a miniature “California Rocks!” tent, a hand-drawn recreation of the 3D “overnight earthquake” sidewalk chalk drawing CEA used at the event, and a slide show of the event itself on an iPad.
Previously, CEA has won IMCA Showcase Awards—which “recognize the most effective and innovative work from the best minds in insurance marketing and communications”—for its “Get Prepared, California!” efforts and “California Rocks!” marketing campaign.
