Advisory Panel

The 11-member CEA Advisory Panel advises the CEA Governing Board on matters such as:

• Basic insurance-coverage issues
• The CEA's insurance rates
• Long-term sustainability and survivability of the CEA
• Availability and affordability of earthquake coverage

CEA Advisory Panel members are appointed for four-year terms by the Governor (six members), Insurance Commissioner (three members), Speaker of the Assembly (one member), and Chairperson of the Senate Rules Committee (one member).  Members are representatives of property insurers, insurance agents, and the public.  The Insurance Commissioner is an ex officio, non-voting member of the Panel.
